Juggling Domesticity

This exploration is projected through the current epidemic we face. As I am thinking about 'comfort' as a supporting element, it has emerged thinking about support structures within the home. Although home brings us a sense of comfort, staying trapped within it for multiple weeks has brought feelings of discomfort. These iterations are playing with everyday objects to physically arrange and rearrange to create new meanings as well as to alter context and function. I have decided to make arrangements that speak to this strange time.  How can everyday objects become eventful through compositional arrangement?

This is process based design of gathering, arranging and re-arranging. How do these situations then become encountered? These spatial situations are relying on internal and external forces to hold them in their composition therefore speak of fragility through the ambiguity that they may or may not hold up.

These arrangements are made up of things balancing on each other, propped up by other objects, sitting on, leaning on and bearing the weight of objects. How can we start to think more deeply about arrangement to create spatial situations?

Our domestic  interiors are in a state of constant flux as we adapt, react, re-arrange, change and develop multi-use spaces within the home.
